#  Historian Kirsten McKenzie appointed Harvard Visiting Professor

Kirsten McKenzie will take up the prestigious role of Harvard University’s Gough Whitlam and Malcolm Fraser Visiting Professor of Australian Studies for 2026-7.

Professor [Kirsten McKenzie](https://www.sydney.edu.au/arts/about/our-people/academic-staff/kirsten-mckenzie.html) holds the Chair in Australian History at the University of Sydney’s [School of Humanities](https://www.sydney.edu.au/content/corporate/arts/schools/school-of-humanities.html) and is a Fellow of the [Australian Academy of the Humanities](https://humanities.org.au/) and Fellow of the [Royal Historical Society](https://royalhistsoc.org/).
